LONDON – At this year’s Serpentine Pavilion 15th edition, sees Spanish architects; Selgascano presenting a psychedelic worm-like structure at the heart of Kensington Gardens. The structure pops out amidst the greens of the grass and the blues of the sky creating a sense of fun and quirkyness within the space. The summer sun slips through the structure, painting the white floors with a splash of rainbow colours.
“The Pavilion is an amorphous, double-skinned, polygonal structure consisting of panels of a translucent, multi-coloured fluorine-based polymer (ETFE) woven through and wrapped like webbing. Visitors can enter and exit the Pavilion at a number of different points, passing through a ‘secret corridor’ between the outer and inner layer of the structure and into the Pavilion’s brilliant, stained glass-effect interior.” – Serpentine Pavilion 2015
